- Bucharest – a day or two for the capital.
- Brașov – medieval squares and the mountains all around.
- Bran and the castles – the famous one and the less famous ones.
- Sighișoara – a lived-in citadel.
- Sibiu – elegant squares and nearby Saxon villages.
## Add, if you have time
- The Transfăgărășan mountain road (seasonal).
- Maramureș or Bucovina for wooden churches and painted monasteries.
- The Danube Delta for boats and birdlife.
