  • 🗓️ DAY 1 –Arrival & Transfer to Transfagarasan
    • Pickup in Bucharest, Brasov, Sibiu, Craiova or Timisoara airport

    •  Transfer to mountain guesthouse

    • Welcome drink & dinner (optional)
  • 🗓️ DAY 2 –Poenari Fortress & Vidraru Dam
    • Hike to fortress (1.5 hrs), dam visit & scenic photo stops

    • Afternoon dam stop & forest walk

    • Visit a local shepherd’s farm (Optional traditional food) 

    • Visit Curtea de Arges town
  • 🗓️ DAY 2 –Poenari Fortress & Vidraru Dam
    • Scenic drive up Transfagarasan

    • Short visit to Capra Waterfall

    • Moderate hike around Balea Lake (~4 hrs) & Capra Lake 

    • Optional: short visit to Balea Waterfall
  • 🗓️ DAY 4 – Horezu Pottery & Transfer to Transalpina Base
    • Drive via Olt River or Jiu Gorge

    • Cultural visit in Horezu (UNESCO pottery craft)

    • Visit Ocnele Mari Salt Mine

    • Arrival in Ranca / Novaci guesthouse + relaxing walk
  • 🗓️ DAY 5 – Transalpina Ridge Hike + Shepherd’s Hut Visit
    • High-altitude hike (2–3 hrs) along the peaks

    • Stop at mountain shepherd’s hut for cheese tasting

    • Picnic lunch with panoramic views (Optional)

    • Traditional Romanian dinner (optional)
  • 🗓️ DAY 6 – Optional Loop Hike + Rest
    • Short forest loop (~2 hrs) or relax at guesthouse

    • Visit Polovragi Monastery

    • Polovragi Cave
  • 🗓️ DAY 7 – Goodbye Mountains
    • Breakfast & private transfer to airport

    • Flights recommended after 14:00
